Vitrek have announced a pair of high voltage insulation resistance teraohmmeters

The Vitrek 98x series consists of two models: the 981i capable of testing from 30V to 6500 VDC in 1V steps, and the 983i capable of working from 60V to 11 kVDC in 1V steps. Both are specified for use with capacitive loads and the 981i can use the HSS-2 high side sense option to make measurements on grounded loads up to 5kV DC.

In order to be able to measure multiple paths, for example on a multi-way cable harness, the 981i and 983i both have the ability to directly control up to four 64 channel HV scanners, right out of the box. That is up to 256 test points and, using a PC with Vitrek's Q-Test software this can be expanded to 1020 test points. The HV Switching System of choice is the Vitrek 964i, which can hold eight 8-channel switching cards — available in 7, 10 and 15KV ratings.
