B&K Precision have announced the BK8500B series - an upgrade to the BK8500 series

Compared to the BK8500 series, the BK8500B features faster transient operation up to 10kHz, an adjustable slew rate in CC mode and higher 16bit measurement resolution (1mV / 1mA).  The front panel display now shows both the measured values and the set values simultaneously.  Also on the front panel, the menu navigation has been upgraded with more convenient menu navigation and value editing keys and the input terminals are new multi-type which accept 4mm safety jacks as well as spade lugs.

The BK8500 series is being phased out with the BK8500, BK8502 and BK8510 being replaced by their direct equivalents with a "B" suffix.  The BK8512, BK8514, BK8516 and BK8520 are replaced by the BK8600 series  models BK8612, BK8614, BK8616 and BK8620 respectively.
